Beaumonts, a busy accountancy practice, are looking for an apprentice financial administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will begin by learning the basic administration duties within the organisation and then progressing into assisting with the administration relating to bookkeeping and payroll.

 

What will the apprentice be doing?

Working closely with the business support team, accountants, book keeper, tax advisors and the payroll team in all admin duties such as:

  • Emailing clients for and with information
  • Creating spreadsheets and entering data
  • Creating new employee forms
  • Adding new employees to the payroll system with attention to detail being paramount
  • Filing, scanning and shreading

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Upon completion, you will achieve a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard along with Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths (if required)
  • You will attend day release college sessions at National Business College (NBC) on a fortnightly basis
  • NBC is based in the centre of Huddersfield, just a 5 minute walk from the main bus and train stations

 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Further financial qualifications are available and we are looking for someone to eventually run a department to futureproof the smooth running of the practice ‘The Beaumonts’ way.

 

Annual wage

£13,182

Starting rate of £6.50 per hour, to be reviewed following probationary period.

 

Working week

Mon-Thu 8:30am until 5:00pm, Fri 8:30pm until 4:00pm.

Total hours per week: 39 hours a week

 

Expected duration

18 Months
